Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION HONORING MASTER BASIA PUDYSZ WHEREAS, Master Basia Pudysz was born in Tarnow, a small city in Poland, the eldest of two children and being a Martial Arts student for over thirteen years; and WHEREAS, in December 2002, Master Basia moved to the United States of America, during that time she experienced a Martial Art class at Bally's Total Fitness in Oak Lawn; and WHEREAS, it was there Master Basia was fortunate enough to meet the notable Grandmaster Kwan Pil Kim; and WHEREAS, Master Basia was so excited about her first Taekwondo class experience that she decided to join the following day; and WHEREAS, Master Basia immersed herself in Taekwondo classes and set her mind on one day becoming a Master; and WHEREAS, during the early years of her journey, Master Basia participated in various tournaments winning numerous awards; and WHEREAS, in 2003,Master Basia received the Grand Championship Award for Power Breaking and in ...

PROPOSED RESOLUTION

 

  A RESOLUTION HONORING MASTER BASIA PUDYSZ

 

WHEREAS, Master Basia Pudysz was born in Tarnow, a small city in Poland, the eldest of two children and being a Martial Arts student for over thirteen years; and

 

WHEREAS, in December 2002, Master Basia moved to the United States of America, during that time she experienced a Martial Art class at Bally’s Total Fitness in Oak Lawn; and

 

WHEREAS, it was there Master Basia was fortunate enough to meet the notable Grandmaster Kwan Pil Kim; and

 

WHEREAS, Master Basia was so excited about her first Taekwondo class experience that she decided to join the following day; and 

 

WHEREAS, Master Basia immersed herself in Taekwondo classes and set her mind on one day becoming a Master; and

 

WHEREAS, during the early years of her journey, Master Basia participated in various tournaments winning numerous awards; and

 

WHEREAS, in 2003,Master Basia received  the Grand Championship  Award for Power Breaking and in 2004 she received 1st Place in Form and Breaking, and other awards through-out her adventure; and

 

WHEREAS, Master Basia captured the attention of Master Richards and Master Kim with her steadfastness and dedication to learning the art of Taekwondo, she helped out whenever she was needed and spent countless hours perfecting her craft; and

 

WHEREAS, in 2006, Master Basia was awarded the “Best Supporting Student” Award.  Her extreme dedication was recognized again and she was asked to assist in teaching classes in the vastly growing Taekwondo & Hapkido environment at Bally’s; and

 

WHEREAS, Master Basia eagerly accepted the challenge and there she began her next step toward Instructor; and

 

WHEREAS, in 2009, dedicated to her job, students, family and friends, Instructor Basia had proven  to be one the most admired Instructors receiving the “Best Instructor of the Year” Award; and

 

WHEREAS, Grandmaster Kwan Pil Kim’s opening of Woori Taekwondo & Hapkido Academy in Matteson, Illinois not only created opportunities for the Matteson community but also for Master Basia; and

 

WHEREAS, Master Basia worked tirelessly alongside Grandmaster Kim in teaching and providing support to the students and parents of Woori Taekwondo & Hapkido Academy; and

 

WHEREAS,  currently as a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Hapkido, Master Basia continues to share her knowledge, passion and compassion under Grandmaster Kim’s continued tutelage; and

 

WHEREAS, Master Basia has earned respect and admiration from the students and parents of Woori. She loves the challenge of teaching Taekwondo to all different age groups especially her young students, moms, dads and everyone in between.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and the Cook County Board of Commissioners do hereby recognize Master Basia Pudysz of Woori Taewondo and Hapkido Academy for her hard work and dedication to the adults and children that she interact with daily.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this text be spread upon the official proceeding of this Honorable Body and a suitable copy be presented to Master Basia Pudysz.
