PROPOSED RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION HONORING PATRICIA WHITE ON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT FROM THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS, Patricia White served as Chairman John P. Daley’s secretary for twenty years; and,
WHEREAS, Patricia White has rendered thoughtful assistance to hundreds of residents of the 11th District, who frequently seek her counsel; and
WHEREAS, Patricia White, in addition to her duties to Chairman Daley and the residents of the 11th District, has provided guidance and advice to dozens of County staff members and assisted them in navigating the intricacies of the Cook County Board; and
WHEREAS, Patricia White is a proud native of the Bridgeport neighborhood in Chicago, residing on the 3700 block of South Lowe Avenue for nearly her entire life; and
WHEREAS, Patricia White has known Chairman Daley since his childhood and their families have been close friends for decades; and
WHEREAS, Patricia White and her husband, the late Andrew White, raised their six children in Bridgeport; and
WHEREAS, Patricia White now plans to enjoy her well-earned retirement in the company of her many friends, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the President and Cook County Board of Commissioners do hereby congratulate Patricia White on her retirement, thank her for her service to the people of Cook County and wish her well in her future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this resolution be tendered to Patricia White in recognition for her service to the people of Cook County and the high esteem in which she is held by the President and members of the Cook County Board.
