Summary: The Bureau of Technology requests approval of an amendment to Contract no. 1390-12899 with Oracle America, Inc. to procure software licenses necessary for the implementation of the Enterprise Service Bus (“ESB”) project.
In December, 2015, this Board approved Contract No. 1488-13992 to implement the ESB and facilitate data exchanges among Cook County criminal justice agencies. In developing the ESB implementation project, the Bureau of Technology (“BOT”) chose to leverage the County’s existing Unlimited License Agreement (“ULA”) with Oracle America, Inc. If approved, this amendment will allow the County to realize significant savings on software licenses for the ESB project.
The contract was awarded through the Request for Proposals (RFP) process in accordance with the Cook County Procurement Code. Oracle America, Inc. was awarded this contract based on established evaluation criteria.
