Summary: The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully submits for adoption, a supplemental improvement resolution appropriating additional funds of Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000.00) for the improvements of Lake Cook Road, Milwaukee Avenue to Illinois Tollway (294). This improvement, as proposed, consisted of the widening of the existing four lane pavement to six lanes including traffic signals, intersection improvements, right-of-way, engineering and other necessary highway appurtenances.
On 1/6/1992, your Honorable Body approved an Improvement Resolution of $7,200,000.00 for construction of this improvement. On 8/4/1999, the Board approved a contract for this improvement in the amount of $8,626,236.41, and final inspection and acceptance of this project was made on 7/30/2001.
