Collins was preceded in death by dear brothers Allan, Hugh and Ron; and WHEREAS, William F. Collins was the cherished grandfather of nine grandchildren; and WHEREAS, William F. WILLIAM F. COLLINS, IN MEMORIAM

 

WHEREAS, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom has called William F. Collins from our midst; and

 

WHEREAS, William F. Collins was the beloved husband of Betty (nee Edwards) for 60 wonderful years; and

 

WHEREAS, William F. Collins was the dear father of Linda (late Charles) Bruen, Julie (Bill) Sujak, Kathy O’Marrah, Sean (Anja), Debbie (Rich) La Page; and

 

WHEREAS, William F. Collins was preceded in death by dear brothers Allan, Hugh and Ron; and

 

WHEREAS, William F. Collins was the cherished grandfather of nine grandchildren; and

 

WHEREAS, William F. Collins was the dear great-grandfather of four great-grandchildren; and

 

WHEREAS, William F. Collins was a lifelong Canaryville resident and supporter of the Canaryville Veterans Association and the Canaryville Veteran Riders Association; and

 

WHEREAS, William F. Collins was a lifelong parishioner of St. Gabriel Church and past Grand Knight of Madonna Knights of Columbus Council No. 1135; and

 

WHEREAS, William F. Collins was a member of the Stock Yards Kilty Band; and

 

WHEREAS, William F. Collins touched the lives of many and will be remembered by all who knew him; and

 

WHEREAS, all who knew him will attest that William F. Collins was a kind and compassionate man, virtuous of character and gentle in spirit, admired and respected by his many friends and neighbors, and dearly loved by his family; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Cook County that the Board does hereby offer its deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathy to the family of William F. Collins, and joins them in sorrow at this time of loss; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and a suitable copy of the same be tendered to the family of William F. Collins so that his memory may be so honored and ever cherished.
