Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION HONORING THE VICTIMS OF THE ORLANDO NIGHTCLUB SHOOTING WHEREAS, at approximately 2:00 AM on June 12, 2016, an act of hate and terror was inflicted upon the patrons of "Pulse" a popular Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) nightclub in Orlando, Florida; and WHEREAS, there has been a tremendous outpouring of support for the victims, the families who have lost loved ones and the entire Orlando community by people across Cook County, and rest of the nation; and WHEREAS, this attack is the deadliest mass shooting in the history of the United States; and WHEREAS, during this horrific event fifty-three (53) people were injured, and forty-nine (49) people were killed. HONORING THE VICTIMS OF THE ORLANDO NIGHTCLUB SHOOTING

WHEREAS, at approximately 2:00 AM on June 12, 2016, an act of hate and terror was inflicted upon the patrons of "Pulse" a popular Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) nightclub in Orlando, Florida; and

WHEREAS, there has been a tremendous outpouring of support for the victims, the families who have lost loved ones and the entire Orlando community by people across Cook County, and rest of the nation; and

WHEREAS, this attack is the deadliest mass shooting in the history of the United States; and

WHEREAS, during this horrific event fifty-three (53) people were injured, and forty-nine (49) people were killed.
