PROPOSED RESOLUTION
CELEBRATING FR. MICHAEL FRANCIS FLYNN'S 49 YEARS OF SERVICE AT NATIVITY OF OUR LORD PARISH
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Cook County Board of Commissioners that Fr. Michael Francis Flynn is leaving Nativity of our Lord Parish after 49 years of dedicated service; and
WHEREAS, Fr. Michael Francis Flynn was one of ten children born and raised in Ireland; and
WHEREAS, Fr. Michael Francis Flynn was ordained a Carmelite Priest on May 27, 1961; and
WHEREAS, Fr. Michael Francis Flynn first celebrated Mass at St. Gabriel's Parish; and
WHEREAS, Fr. Michael Francis Flynn is also a Doctor of Psychology who has published numerous articles and served on numerous professional boards and with organizations including serving as President of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and serving on the Leadership Council of the National Institute for Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine; and
WHEREAS, Fr. Michael Francis Flynn has received numerous awards and has been recognized for his extensive work in psychology, hypnosis, psychotherapy, pain management and personality assessment; and
WHEREAS, Fr. Michael Francis Flynn served as a Priest at Nativity of Our Lord Parish for 49 wonderful years; and
WHEREAS, Fr. Michael Francis Flynn has played an important role in the spiritual life of many parishioners at Nativity of Our Lord Parish; and
WHEREAS, all who know him will attest that Fr. Michael Francis Flynn is a kind and compassionate man, virtuous of character and gentle in spirit, admired and respected by his many friends and neighbors, and dearly loved by his family and his neighbors; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Cook County that the Board does hereby offer its heartfelt thanks to Fr. Michael Francis Flynn; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and a suitable copy of the same be tendered to Fr. Michael Francis...
