CONGRATULATING BELL & GOSSETT ON ITS 100TH ANNIVERSARY IN BUSINESS

 

WHEREAS, Bell & Gossett, a Xylem brand, is celebrating its 100-year anniversary as a leader in the commercial building services industry; and

 

WHEREAS, Bell & Gossett has more than a century of experience in developing innovative products and technologies for heating, cooling, and plumbing applications essential to people, businesses, and industries throughout the world; and

 

WHEREAS, Xylem is currently one of the largest employers in the Village of Morton Grove in Cook County, Illinois, employing approximately 600 men and women and is a valued economic and community partner with the county and state; and

 

WHEREAS, Bell & Gossett is an industry leader in education, having trained more than 61,000 engineers, contractors, installers, and other professionals at the Little Red Schoolhouse, which has been located on the Morton Grove facility campus since 1954; and

 

WHEREAS, on December 7, 2016, the company rededicated the Xylem Morton Grove facility in celebration of its 75 years of corporate citizenship within the Village of Morton Grove.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby congratulate Bell & Gossett on this momentous occasion and encourage the company’s continued success.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be tendered to Bell & Gossett/Xylem as it celebrates this significant anniversary.
