Oppedisano was the loving father of Tena (Brian) McCullough, Lisa (James) Gannon, and Vincent; and WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano was the beloved son of the late August Oppedisano and the late Norma (late Larry) Battisti; and WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano was the cherished Papa of Lia, Jack, Joseph, and Lyla; and WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano was the fond son-in-law of Rita and the late Richard Valentino and dear brother-in-law of Anthony (Gail) and Michele Valentino; and WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano earned his bachelor's degree from Northeastern Illinois University in urban planning and environmental studies, worked for the Cook County Assessor, and founded Disano Appraisal Consultants; and WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano began his public ser...

RONALD A. OPPEDISANO, IN MEMORIAM

 

WHEREAS, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom has called Ronald A. Oppedisano from our midst; and

 

WHEREAS, Ronald A. Oppedisano was the beloved husband of Linda (nee Valentino); and

 

WHEREAS, Ronald A. Oppedisano was the loving father of Tena (Brian) McCullough, Lisa (James) Gannon, and Vincent; and

 

WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano was the beloved son of the late August Oppedisano and the late Norma (late Larry) Battisti; and

 

WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano was the cherished Papa of Lia, Jack, Joseph, and Lyla; and

 

WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano was the fond son-in-law of Rita and the late Richard Valentino and dear brother-in-law of Anthony (Gail) and Michele Valentino; and

 

WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano earned his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University in urban planning and environmental studies, worked for the Cook County Assessor, and founded Disano Appraisal Consultants; and

 

WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano began his public service career in 1991 as a member of the Norridge Zoning Board of Appeals and served in various other capacities before being elected to the office of village president in 2009; and

 

WHEREAS, although health issues prevented Ronald Oppedisano from continuing on with public service, he remained a charismatic, respected, and devoted member of the Italian-American community; and

 

WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano touched the lives of many and will be remembered by all who knew him.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby offer its deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathy to the family of Ronald A. Oppedisano; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and that a suitable copy of the same be tendered to the family of Ronald A. Oppedisano so that his memory may be so honored and ever cherished.
