HONORING PHOENIX MILITARY ACADEMY FOR BEING NAMED ONE OF THE TOP HIGH SCHOOLS IN THE UNITED STATES

 

WHEREAS, Phoenix Military Academy is a distinguished military academy in Chicago, Illinois; and

 

WHEREAS, Phoenix Military Academy is one of six military academies in the City of Chicago and is rated Level 1+ in school performance; and

 

WHEREAS, More than 500 students attend Phoenix Military Academy; and

 

WHEREAS, the student body of Phoenix Military Academy benefit from a unique educational environment that centers around building character; and

 

WHEREAS, the student body of Phoenix Military Academy reflects a diverse range of backgrounds; and

 

WHEREAS, the 2016 class was awarded more than $9 million in scholarships for college; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Cook County Board of Commissioners that the teachers, students, parents, and administration of the Phoenix Military Academy are to be recognized and congratulated for the achievement of being named a top high school by U.S. News and World Report.
