PROPOSED RESOLUTION
JEREMIAH SLATTERY, IN MEMORIAM
WHEREAS, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom has called Jeremiah “Jerry” Slattery from our midst, and
WHEREAS, Jeremiah “Jerry” Slattery was the loving and adored husband of the late Grace J. Slattery (nee Ryan) for 55 years, and
WHEREAS, Jeremiah “Jerry” Slattery was the amazing father of the late Michael J, Patrick R. (Mary Pat) and Maura A. (William) Boyle, and
WHEREAS, Jeremiah “Jerry” J. Slattery was the much loved Da of Aidan, Martin, Declan Boyle and Claire Slattery, and
WHEREAS, Jeremiah “Jerry” J. Slattery was the beloved son of the late Mary McBride and the late Jeremiah J. Slattery, and
WHEREAS, Jeremiah “Jerry” J. Slattery was the fond son-in-law of the late Patrick and the late Nora Ryan, and
WHEREAS, Jeremiah “Jerry” J. Slattery was the cherished brother Mary F. Slattery, and
WHEREAS, Jeremiah “Jerry” J. Slattery was the dear brother-in-law of the late Jack (Dolores) Healy, the late Anna Mae (the late John) Costas, Marguerite (the late James) Kiely, the late Francis (Ellen) Healy and Shelia Ryan; and
WHEREAS, all who knew him will attest that Jeremiah “Jerry” J. Slattery was a kind and compassionate man, virtuous of character and gentle in spirit, admired and respected by his many friends and neighbors, and dearly loved by his family, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Cook County that the Board does hereby offer its deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathy to the family and many friends of Jeremiah “Jerry” J. Slattery, and joins them in sorrow at this time of loss, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and a suitable copy of same be tendered to the family of Jeremiah “Jerry” J. Slattery, that his memory may be so honored and ever cherished.
