Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION HONORING INVESTIGATOR DANAKELLY HAMPTON WHEREAS, Investigator DanaKelly Hampton joined the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office in March of 2015; and WHEREAS, on April 26th, 2017, Medical Examiner's Office Investigator DanaKelly Hampton responded to a reported death scene at 1209 E. 53rd St. in Chicago, Illinois; and WHEREAS, upon entering the room, Investigator Hampton noticed what she recognized from her training and experience to be a makeshift apparatus for making methamphetamine and a blue crystalline subject on the dresser.; and WHEREAS, Investigator Hampton quickly sprang into action and notified the Chicago Police Department supervisor on the scene, and recommended that he remove his officers from the scene and contact the Chicago Fire Department; and WHEREAS, Investigator Hampton's photographs taken inside the house were used by the responding Chicago Fire Department supervisor to determine that the Hazardous Material Unit was needed on the scene an...

PROPOSED RESOLUTION

 

HONORING INVESTIGATOR DANAKELLY HAMPTON

 

WHEREAS, Investigator DanaKelly Hampton joined the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office in March of 2015; and

 

WHEREAS, on April 26th, 2017, Medical Examiner’s Office Investigator DanaKelly Hampton responded to a reported death scene at 1209 E. 53rd St. in Chicago, Illinois; and

 

WHEREAS, upon entering the room, Investigator Hampton noticed what she recognized from her training and experience to be a makeshift apparatus for making methamphetamine and a blue crystalline subject on the dresser.; and

 

WHEREAS, Investigator Hampton quickly sprang into action and notified the Chicago Police Department supervisor on the scene, and recommended that he remove his officers from the scene and contact the Chicago Fire Department; and

 

WHEREAS, Investigator Hampton’s photographs taken inside the house were used by the responding Chicago Fire Department supervisor to determine that the Hazardous Material Unit was needed on the scene and the area should be evacuated

 

WHEREAS, Investigator Hampton’s observations and quick action ensured the safety of the first responders at the scene, neighbors who reside in the area, and other innocent bystanders.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and the Cook County Board of Commissioners, do herby recognize Cook County Medical Examiner’s Investigator DanaKelly Hampton for her exemplary conduct on April 26, 2017.
