(Patricia), Noreen (Gerry) Moore, and Terri (John) Nuzzo; and WHEREAS, Don Storino was the loving grandfather of Donald, John, Daniel, Timothy, Katie, Matthew, Brian, Anna, Joseph, and Serafina; and WHEREAS, Don Storino was the dear great-grandfather of fourteen; and WHEREAS, Don Storino served in Italy and Africa during World War II, and he received the Bronze Star for his service; and WHEREAS, Don Storino was a fixture in his town of Elmwood Park, serving as Trustee there for more than thirty years and also serving as Mayor; and WHEREAS, Don Storino ran a successful State Farm Insurance business from the 1960s to the time of his passing; and WHEREAS, Don Storino was involved in m...

PROPOSED RESOLUTION

 

DOMINIC STORINO, IN MEMORIAM

 

WHEREAS, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom called Dominic “Don” Storino from our midst; and

 

WHEREAS, Don Storino was the beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Hughes); and

 

WHEREAS, Don and Mary were the beloved parents of three children: Donald J. (Patricia), Noreen (Gerry) Moore, and Terri (John) Nuzzo; and

 

WHEREAS, Don Storino was the loving grandfather of Donald, John, Daniel, Timothy, Katie, Matthew, Brian, Anna, Joseph, and Serafina; and

 

WHEREAS, Don Storino was the dear great-grandfather of fourteen; and

 

WHEREAS, Don Storino served in Italy and Africa during World War II, and he received the Bronze Star for his service; and

 

WHEREAS, Don Storino was a fixture in his town of Elmwood Park, serving as Trustee there for more than thirty years and also serving as Mayor; and

 

WHEREAS, Don Storino ran a successful State Farm Insurance business from the 1960s to the time of his passing; and

 

WHEREAS, Don Storino was involved in many charitable groups over the years, including St. Celestine’s Parish and Holy Cross High School, where he served as President of the Board.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby offer its deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathy to the family of Dominic Storino; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and a suitable copy of the same be tendered to the family of Dominic Storino so that his memory may be so honored and ever cherished.
