PROPOSED RESOLUTION
CONSTANTINE “GUS” ALPOGIANIS , IN MEMORIAM
WHEREAS, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom has called Constantine “Gus” Alpogianis from our midst; and
WHEREAS, Constantine “Gus” Alpogianis was a Korean War Veteran who served in the Army’s Second Infantry Division; and
WHEREAS, Constantine “Gus” Alpogianis was the beloved husband of the Evangeline (nee Mastropulos); and
WHEREAS, Constantine “Gus” Alpogianis was the devoted father George (Sophia), Maria and Manolis Alpogianis; and
WHEREAS, Constantine “Gus” Alpogianis was the loving grandfather Evangeline, Costa, Kyriaki “Kiki”, Maria and Anna; and
WHEREAS, Constantine was the cherished brother of Evelyn (the late Peter) Leberis and the late Mike (Betty) Alpogianis; and
WHEREAS, Constantine was the cherished brother-in-law of Evelyn (Nick) Kostantinidis and Georgia Mastropulos; and
WHEREAS, Constantine “Gus” Alpogianis was the fond uncle and cousin of many; and
WHEREAS, Constantine “Gus” Alpogianis was the founder and operator of Kappy’s Restaurant in Morton Grove; and
WHEREAS, all that new him, Constantine “Gus” Alpogianis was admired and respected by his many friends and neighbors, and dearly loved by his family; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Cook County that the Board does hereby offer its deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathy to the family of Constantine “Gus” Alpogianis and joins them in sorrow at this time of loss; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and a suitable copy of the same be tendered to the family of Constantine “Gus” Alpogianis so that his memory may be so honored and ever cherished.
