WHEREAS, March is Women’s History Month, and

 

WHEREAS, The United State of Women is an outstanding organization dedicated to advancing women’s rights, and

 

WHEREAS, The United State of Women was a key player in organizing the Chicago Women’s March in 2017 and 2018, and

 

WHEREAS, the organization has coordinated many conversations and events with key leaders to empower women, and

 

WHEREAS, The United State of Women launched the Galvanize Summit in Chicago in 2017, and

 

WHEREAS, fighting for equality is so important, and the United State of Women does just that every day, and

 

WHEREAS, all residents of Cook County benefit when each individual is treated equally, and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Cook County Board of Commissioners that the United State of Women is thanked for its significant contributions to the equal rights movement and that the organization is honored for its diligent work.
