Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION HONORING THE LIFE OF DEACON SIP PETTIES WHEREAS, Deacon Sip Petties was born on August 21st, 1929 in Clarksdale Mississippi; WHEREAS, Deacon Petties was a devoted and loving husband to his angel Jennie Lee Bouldin for 64 years; WHEREAS, Deacon Petties was blessed with 5 children; 2 girls and 3 boys; WHEREAS, Deacon Petties alongside his wife shared a passion for their faith and together they founded their Family Alter Evangelistic Baptist Church; WHEREAS, Deacon Petties promised to devote his life to the lord and with that promise he gave his time and talents and served on the Family Alter Evangelical board for 28 years; WHEREAS, Deacon Petties with much love and pride for his parish built the communion table with his bare hands and would later build and create the Drama Guild Ministry Building; WHEREAS, Deacon Petties was also a hardworking man who provided for his family, he was known to say, "A man that doesn't work doesn't eat". HONORING THE LIFE OF DEACON SIP PETTIES

WHEREAS, Deacon Sip Petties was born on August 21st, 1929 in Clarksdale Mississippi;

WHEREAS, Deacon Petties was a devoted and loving husband to his angel Jennie Lee Bouldin for 64 years;

WHEREAS, Deacon Petties was blessed with 5 children; 2 girls and 3 boys;

WHEREAS, Deacon Petties alongside his wife shared a passion for their faith and together they founded their Family Alter Evangelistic Baptist Church;

WHEREAS, Deacon Petties promised to devote his life to the lord and with that promise he gave his time and talents and served on the Family Alter Evangelical board for 28 years;

WHEREAS, Deacon Petties with much love and pride for his parish built the communion table with his bare hands and would later build and create the Drama Guild Ministry Building;

WHEREAS, Deacon Petties was also a hardworking man who provided for his family, he was known to say, "A man that doesn't work doesn't eat". He was a national bakery worker employed by the Nabisco Bakery where he dedicated 38 years and eventually retired;

WHEREAS, Deacon Sip Petties is survived by his wife Bishop Jennie L. Petties and his children: Rev. Mary Jean and Richard Bowens, Deacon Linda S. Petties; Trustee Sip and Bridgette Petties, Kenneth Petties, Deacons Melvin and Nadine Petties. Grandchildren: Apostle Angie Thibeaux, Deacon Tameka and Ronald Burnett, Taneha Petties, Rev. Quentin and Maliya Petties, Shelita Jones, Nadine and Frank Bass, Melvin and Jarcy Petties, Linda and Marrio Golden, Jamila Dillard, Kenneth Petties, Jr., Kevin and Carrol Martin, Perry and Jarius Strong, Keturah, Keyton and Isaiah Petties, Fallon Monique Petties, Kendra and Kierra Petties, and 37 Great Grandchildren;

WHEREAS, Deacon Sip Petties Sr. completed his earthly journey on February 6th, 2018 having lived 88 years strong, and leaves behind a lifetime of fond memories and a legacy that the Petties family will carry forward
