PROPOSED RESOLUTION
HONORING COACH ROBERT “RAHIM” BISBEE 13TH ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL AND BASKETBALL CLINIC
WHEREAS, on Saturday August 11, 2018 Coach Robert “Rahim” Bisbee hosted the 13h Annual Moran Park Back to School and Basketball Clinic which has served over 5,000 youth to date; and
WHEREAS, Coach Bisbee was raised on 57th Aberdeen and his love for the Englewood community has allowed him to work with young people on and off the basketball court across the City of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Coach Bisbee attended Tilden High School and is a former member of the Illinois Army National Guard; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Bisbee has been employed by the Chicago Park District for 22 years and is an active union steward with SEIU Local 73 where he currently serves as Park Supervisor at Homan Square in the North Lawndale community; and
WHEREAS, Coach Bisbee is a champion, leader and mentor to youth from the Englewood community and Chicago at large
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that President Toni Preckwinkle and Cook County Board of Commissioners, and on behalf of the 5.2 million residents of Cook County do hereby congratulate Coach Robert "Rahim" Bisbee on the occasion of its 13th Anniversary and for the important and commendable service and leadership it provides to youth and young adults.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this resolution be spread upon the official proceeding of this Honorable Body and a ceremonial copy be given to Coach Robert Bisbee in commemoration of this auspicious occasion.
