PROPOSED RESOLUTION
CONGRATULATING THOMAS WATKINS ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM COOK COUNTY GOVERNMENT
WHEREAS, Thomas Watkins retired on November 30, 2018 after spending the last thirty-one years as a dedicated Cook County employee; and
WHEREAS, from 1988-2018, Thomas Watkins worked for the Cook County Custodial Services Department in several positions throughout his years of service, and at the time of his retirement acted as Window Washer Supervisor; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Watkins was instrumental in heading the snow removal team, his responsibilities consisting of ensuring that all County facilities under his jurisdiction were plowed and salted during snowy conditions. Mr. Watkins also coordinated and supervised the moving of furniture and special projects that were assigned to his team; and
WHERAS, prior to his employment with Cook County, Mr. Watkins served in the Armed Forces for several years; and
WHERAS, Thomas Watkins will be remembered as a dedicated and loyal team member who was very knowledgeable in his role and was instrumental in organizing his team for positive outcomes; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby wish Thomas Watkins well in his retirement.
