Summary: The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully requests approval of the Proposed Completion of Construction Approval Resolution. The decrease is attributed to the difference between the estimated material testing services required and actual material testing services provided throughout the County.
This contract provided full-time and part-time individuals who worked under the direction of the Department, Bureau of Construction in the roles of Quality Control/Quality Assurance and Materials Engineer(s) and/or Inspector(s) who were responsible for engineering, coring/boring, quality assurance, sampling and testing, and documentation/reporting applicable to various projects’ concrete, asphalt, aggregate and/or soil materials, including plant, field and lab testing, as well as review and verification of mix designs, analyses, evaluations, recommendations, research and development of new materials. Work was performed in accordance with Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Manual of Test Procedure for Materials, CCDoTH and IDOT requirements and any and all other specification were completed to the satisfaction of the Superintendent
