PROPOSED RESOLUTION
CONGRATULATING RONALD L. “BULLDOG” LITVIAK ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM COOK COUNTY GOVERNMENT
WHEREAS, Ronald L. “Bulldog” Litviak will be retiring on May 31st, 2019 after spending the last thirty-one years as a dedicated Cook County employee; and
WHEREAS, from 1987-1991, Ronald L. Litviak worked for the Cook County Health and Hospital Systems as a journeyman painter; and
WHEREAS, from 1991 until the day of his retirement, Ronald L. Litviak has worked for the Department of Facilities Management as a journeyman painter, as well as in an acting foreman position when needed; and
WHEREAS, Ronald L. Litviak assisted in the creation of the B.T.I. (Building Team Initiative) program at D.O.C. The BTI program, in conjunction with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, allows the Department of Facilities Management trades staff to access an empty tier to make all necessary repairs, re-paint the entire tier, and perform all preventative maintenance work for that tier while it is closed; and
WHEREAS, Ronald L. Litviak has routinely volunteered his time and has been an integral component to the Rebuilding Together program since its inception. The Rebuilding Together program provides selected families in need renovations to their homes, making them safer, more secure, and accessible, if needed; and;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby wish Ronald L. Litviak well in his retirement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Ronald L. Litviak as an expression of our appreciation of his service to the County of Cook.
