Summary: The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully requests Approval of the Proposed Improvement Resolution for the 2019 Invest in Cook Multi-Modal Transportation Project. This Improvement is needed to fund various, multi-modal transportation projects across the entirety of Cook County as an enactment of the priorities set forth in our Long-Range Transportation Plan, Connecting Cook County. The 34 different projects include transit, bicycle, pedestrian, freight, and roadway improvements at various stages of completion. The diversity of projects reflects the diversity of the impacted communities.
