Summary: The Justice Advisory Council is requesting authorization for the Chief Procurement Officer to enter into and execute contracts with McDermott Center and Catholic Charities. The purpose of these Demonstration Grants is to improve birth outcomes and general welfare for pregnant and post-partum (up to six months) individuals who are awaiting trial and have been released to their communities for this period of time.
These contracts were awarded through Request for Proposals (RFP) procedures in accordance with Cook County Procurement Code. McDermott Center and Catholic Charities were selected based on established evaluation criteria.
