Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING JOHN BIANGMANO ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM COOK COUNTY WHEREAS, John Biangmano will retire on December 31, 2019 after serving a total of 39 years as a dedicated Cook County employee; and WHEREAS, from 1980 to 1985, John served Cook County Forest Preserve as a Laborer and then Serviceman III; and WHEREAS, from 1985 to 1990, he served at Cook County Hospital, starting as a mechanical assistant before moving up to Operating Engineer I; and WHEREAS, from 1990 to December 2019, John served as a Facilities Management Chief Engineer II and III at the Cook County Building and various other County locations; and WHEREAS, over the course of his 28-year career, John has served under six Cook County Board Presidents; and WHEREAS, John was instrumental in restoring the marble in the lobby of 118 N. Clark St., updating the exterior windows and fa?ade, and introducing energy-saving equipment to the building for the first time; and WHEREAS, John was a dedicated a ...

CONGRATULATING JOHN BIANGMANO ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM COOK COUNTY

 

WHEREAS, John Biangmano will retire on December 31, 2019 after serving a total of 39 years as a dedicated Cook County employee; and

 

WHEREAS, from 1980 to 1985, John served Cook County Forest Preserve as a Laborer and then Serviceman III; and

 

WHEREAS, from 1985 to 1990, he served at Cook County Hospital, starting as a mechanical assistant before moving up to Operating Engineer I; and

 

WHEREAS, from 1990 to December 2019, John served as a Facilities Management Chief Engineer II and III at the Cook County Building and various other County locations; and

 

WHEREAS, over the course of his 28-year career, John has served under six Cook County Board Presidents; and

 

WHEREAS, John was instrumental in restoring the marble in the lobby of 118 N. Clark St., updating the exterior windows and façade, and introducing energy-saving equipment to the building for the first time; and

 

WHEREAS, John was a dedicated a trustee for the South Stickney Water Reclamation District from 1981 to 1984; and

 

WHEREAS, John served as a community leader for the City of Burbank from 1977 to 2010; and

 

WHEREAS, John also served the Orland Park Youth Association for baseball, soccer, and basketball, as well as the Orland Park Stars and Magic Traveling Baseball Association. John also acted as a basketball coach for St. Julie Parish; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby congratulate John Biangmano on his retirement and service to Cook County.
