PROPOSED RESOLUTION
PATRICIA A. TURANO, IN MEMORIAM
WHEREAS, on November 23, 2019, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom called Patricia Turano from our midst; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Turano was the beloved wife of Senatore Renato Turano for a loving 54 years; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Turano was the devoted mother of Lisa Turano, Renee (Bobby) Novelle, and Mario (Wanda) Turano; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Turano was born on March 17, 1944, and was the loving daughter of the late Michael and the late Mary (nee Iacullo) Filishio; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Turano was the fond grandmother of Renzo, Nico, Reno, Malina, Gabriella, Alessandra, Gioia, Renato, and Rocco; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Turano was the dear sister of Michele (the late John) Krunis and Tina (Laurie “Monk”) Gragnani; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Turano was the dear sister-in-law to Umberto (Eugenia) Turano and Giancarlo (Karen) Turano and was the dear aunt, cousin, godmother, and friend to many; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Turano was known in the baking industry through the family-owned Turano Baking Company based in Berwyn, which has been a Chicago-area institution for more than a half century; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Turano was an involved member of the Women’s Division of the Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby offer its deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathy to the family of Patricia Turano; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and a suitable copy of the same be tendered to the family of Patricia Turano so that her memory may be so honored and ever cherished.
