Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION HONORING DR. JANETTE L. WILSON ON HER 28 YEARS OF SERVICE AND RETIREMENT FROM COOK COUNTY GOVERNMENT WHEREAS, Dr. Janette L. Wilson is a Chicago born native from the West Side of Chicago; and WHEREAS, Dr. Janette L. Wilson studied Finance at The University of Houston and Governors State University. She went on to receive an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities from The Chicago Baptist Institute International; and WHEREAS, Dr. Janette L. Wilson began her career at the Cook County Department of Budget and Management Services on August 1, 1991 as a Budget Analyst II under Budget Director Kevin J. Cuttone. Her outstanding service in this role led to her being promoted in 1992 to Administrative Analyst II. HONORING DR. JANETTE L. WILSON ON HER 28 YEARS OF SERVICE AND RETIREMENT FROM COOK COUNTY GOVERNMENT

WHEREAS, Dr. Janette L. Wilson is a Chicago born native from the West Side of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Janette L. Wilson studied Finance at The University of Houston and Governors State University. She went on to receive an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities from The Chicago Baptist Institute International; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Janette L. Wilson began her career at the Cook County Department of Budget and Management Services on August 1, 1991 as a Budget Analyst II under Budget Director Kevin J. Cuttone. Her outstanding service in this role led to her being promoted in 1992 to Administrative Analyst II. In this role, she was responsible for preparation and implementation of budget requests for 8 departments within Cook County Government; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Janette L. Wilson also served as bookkeeper and responsible for managing all records associated with preparing, finalizing, and coordinating the closing of 1992 Chicago Tunnel Flood Disaster in excess of $1.8 million dollars. After 3 years of services with the Cook County Department of Budget and Management Services, Dr. Janette L. Wilson was transferred to the Comptroller's Office in December 1994 under the direction of Comptroller John F. Chambers; and

WHEREAS, in 1998, Dr. Janette L. Wilson under the direction of Deputy Comptroller Joseph Vargo, implemented the Direct Deposit Payroll System for Cook County. During this time, Dr. Janette L. Wilson successfully coordinated Countywide Bank Fairs; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Janette L. Wilson was instrumental in bringing Cook County into direct deposit compliance. She managed all direct deposit authorizations, disputes, and collections training all payroll staff and timekeepers on direct deposit maintenance. She also created a user-friendly FMIS Direct Deposit guide in 2000 while collaborating direct deposit protocol for 4 systems including Mainfra...
