Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION IN CELEBRATION OF TIMOTHY J. FRENZER ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT WHEREAS, longtime Wilmette Village Manager Timothy J. Frenzer will retire in early 2020 after 27 years of service to the Village of Wilmette; and WHEREAS, Mr. Frenzer is a longtime Illinois resident. He was raised in Algonquin and spent his formative years there. He has been married to his wife Catherine Murray, an attorney, for thirty-one years. They have four children: Patrick, a veterinarian, and triplet daughters: Caitlin, an attorney; Beth, a marketing professional; and Meagan, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Florida. He is a fan of college football, following both the University of Florida, where his son attended, and the University of Auburn when his daughters graduated; and WHEREAS, Mr. Frenzer attended Loyola University in Chicago, where he graduated summa cum laude, with a B.A. and Honors Degree in 1980. IN CELEBRATION OF TIMOTHY J. FRENZER ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT

WHEREAS, longtime Wilmette Village Manager Timothy J. Frenzer will retire in early 2020 after 27 years of service to the Village of Wilmette; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Frenzer is a longtime Illinois resident. He was raised in Algonquin and spent his formative years there. He has been married to his wife Catherine Murray, an attorney, for thirty-one years. They have four children: Patrick, a veterinarian, and triplet daughters: Caitlin, an attorney; Beth, a marketing professional; and Meagan, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Florida. WHEREAS, Mr. Frenzer attended Loyola University in Chicago, where he graduated summa cum laude, with a B.A. and Honors Degree in 1980. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 1983. He began his legal career with the Cook County State's Attorney's office, working in the Criminal Division from 1983-1988 and the Civil Division from 1988-1989. He became a staff attorney for the Central States Health & Welfare and Pension Funds from 1989-1990 and then Senior Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago Department of Law from 1990-1993; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Frenzer joined the Village of Wilmette as its Corporation Counsel in January 1993 and served in that role for 15 years until he assumed the role of interim Village Manager. The Village Board unanimously appointed him to Village Manager in July 2009; and

WHEREAS, as a municipal attorney, Mr. Frenzer was a member of the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA). From 2003-2007, he was IMLA Illinois State Chair.
