Summary: TASC, Inc. provides drug testing services for court involved youth under probation supervision. This extension will allow for services to continue while a competitive procurement is redesigned that would provide the services envisioned at reasonable costs. A bid process was recently completed, but the results were not satisfactory, as only one response was received and prices were significantly in excess of expectations. TASC processes approximately 340 drug tests per month on court involved youth.
This contract was awarded through a publicly advertised Request for Proposals (RFP) process in accordance with the Cook County Procurement Code. TASC, Inc. was selected based on the established evaluation criteria.
