Summary: The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully requests approval of the proposed contract between the County and K-Five Construction Corporation, Westmont, Illinois. This project provides for 2.8 miles of roadway rehabilitation located on Roberts Road from Valley Drive to 87th Street. The scope of work includes concrete pavement, hot-mixed asphalt and patching as required. Other work includes curb and gutter replacement, median removal, restriping, ADA ramp improvements, signal modernization with interconnect, along with other appurtenant work as required.
The vendor was selected pursuant to the competitive bid process in accordance with the Cook County Procurement Code. K-Five Construction Corporation was the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder.
