PROPOSED RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION HONORING SUNIL SHAH
WHEREAS, the month of May is recognized as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month; and
WHEREAS, Cook County celebrates the vast contributions made by Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in our communities; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Shah a graduate of Mumbai University and a successful business entrepreneur; and
WHEREAS, he came to United States in June 1990; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Sunil Shah, Registered Representative NYLIFE Securities LLC and Financial Services Professional, completed 24 successful years with New York Life Insurance Company from the Greater Chicago General Office; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Shah is the Founder and President of Federation of Indian Associations, Chicago, Lifetime member and Ambassador, Asian American Hotel Owners Association and also proud member of Schaumburg Business Association; and
WHEREAS, he is also a life and qualifying member of Million Dollar Round Table. He has received several times the National Quality Award, National Sales Achievement Award, and Life Star Award; and
WHEREAS, he has served as a board director with New York Life Insurance Company in Downers Grove, IL; and
WHEREAS, he is also a Lifetime member of the Jain Society of Metropolitan Chicago, Gujarati Samaj of Chicago and Gujarati Cultural Association; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Shah has been a resident in Schaumburg, IL and the 15th Distric for the last 20 years with his wife Rita Shah and two sons Sahaj and Swapnil; and
WHEREAS, Cook County’s strength is in its diverse leaders helping their communities and that is evident with Mr. Shah and his dedication to helping his community; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Cook County Board of Commissioners do hereby honor Mr. Sunil Shah for the outstanding work she does in Cook County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. Sunil Shah.
