Summary: The Circuit Court of Cook County is seeking approval to accept an Adult Redeploy Illinois grant to support the court’s Recidivism Reduction Program (RRP). RRP is a post adjudication program targeting high-moderate and high-risk probationers from all felony courtrooms. This program will work with an estimated baseline population of 433 probationers, with a goal of reducing prison commitments by 25% or by 108 ARI-eligible individuals. Through this program, the Adult Probation Department will address recidivism rates for probationers with an evidence-based supervision strategy focusing on cognitive-behavioral intervention.
