The Bureau of Technology applied for the grant in conjunction with the Department of Transportation and Highways. The grant award requires a 55% match commitment from the County, or $2,293,940.58, over three fiscal years as noted above. The proposed fiber expansion project will provide improved access to reliable high-speed internet for South Suburban Cook County.
