Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION HONORING CYNTHIA YVETTE LOVE FOR HER LEADERSHIP COMMITMENT AND DEDICATION TO THE ENGLEWOOD AND AUBURN GRESHAM COMMUNITY WHEREAS, Cynthia Yvette Love was born and raised in the Englewood area on the Southside of Chicago. Her parents taught her from an early age the importance of advocating for your community. Growing up, Mrs. Love watched her mother work faithfully as an election judge, volunteer at her children's school and serve wherever needed in the community. and; WHEREAS, Cynthia Yvette Love saw loving examples from her family as a steppingstone and has inspired Mrs. Love to work feverishly in her own community-Auburn Gresham, where she has lived for over 30 years. One of her goals is to help to influence change as well as equal representation of housing and other services provided to the people in her community; and WHEREAS, Cynthia Yvette Love is President of Block-by-Block of Auburn-Gresham, Mrs. Love works to orchestrate monthly community cleanups and ...

HONORING CYNTHIA YVETTE LOVE FOR HER LEADERSHIP COMMITMENT AND DEDICATION TO THE ENGLEWOOD AND AUBURN GRESHAM COMMUNITY

 

WHEREAS, Cynthia Yvette Love was born and raised in the Englewood area on the Southside of Chicago. Her parents taught her from an early age the importance of advocating for your community. Growing up, Mrs. Love watched her mother work faithfully as an election judge, volunteer at her children’s school and serve wherever needed in the community. and;

 

WHEREAS, Cynthia Yvette Love saw loving examples from her family as a steppingstone and has inspired Mrs. Love to work feverishly in her own community-Auburn Gresham, where she has lived for over 30 years. One of her goals is to help to influence change as well as equal representation of housing and other services provided to the people in her community; and

 

WHEREAS, Cynthia Yvette Love is President of Block-by-Block of Auburn-Gresham, Mrs. Love works to orchestrate monthly community cleanups and food distributions and established  the Homeowner University initiative to educate new/potential homebuyers, enhance pride of ownership and encourage community involvement in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood and;

 

WHEREAS, She serves on the Board for the Southside Veterans Day Parade and acts as Project Coordinator for Winneconna Wonderland Community Festival in the 17th Ward with her favorite Alderman David Moore. She also works faithfully alongside of other volunteers at the Mt Hermon Missionary Baptist Church Monthly Produce Giveaway and;

 

WHEREAS, She has also participated in various other activities including the Faith Community of St. Sabina Annual Day of Service, Christian Hope Missionary Baptist Church Annual Spring & Fall Festivals and the Veterans Appreciation Day Luncheon just to name a few and;

 

WHEREAS, Cynthia Yvette Love was recognized for her commitment to community support & fair housing opportunities for all, Mrs. Love had the honor of being inducted into the Board of Directors at Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago and;

 

WHEREAS, In addition to her community involvements, Mrs. Love also possesses over 30 years of real estate experience to the table. She is a certified HVAC technician and trained in the field of Stationary Engineering. Her experience has proven to be invaluable as she uses all of her knowledge and skills to help establish a good quality of life to the Auburn Gresham residents; and

 

WHEREAS, Cynthia Yvette Love genuinely loves working in her community and feels blessed to have the opportunity to be the change that she wants to see and;

 

WHEREAS, Cynthia Yvette Love has been married for over 30 years and has 2 children, and

 

WHEREAS, Cook County Government acknowledges Cynthia Yvette Love for transforming lives through community engagement.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Toni Preckwinkle President of the Cook County Board of Commissioners as well as the Board of Commissioners along with the 5.3 million residents of Cook County do hereby recognize Cynthia Yvette Love for her invaluable, leadership, dedication and commitment to the residents of Englewood and Auburn Gresham and herewith express our sincere gratitude for your service to the community.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution is forwarded to Dr. Cynthia Yvette Love and a copy be placed upon the official record of the honorable body recognizing this auspicious occasion.
