PROPOSED RESOLUTION

 

A RESOLUTION HONORING PAM RODRIGUEZ

 

WHEREAS, Pamela F. Rodriguez retired after nearly 40 years of service at TASC (Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities); and

 

WHEREAS, Rodriguez has been President and CEO of TASC since 2009 and has lead the organization in serving hundreds of thousands of people; and

 

WHEREAS, Over the last decade, she has advanced public policy that advocates for racial equity and criminal justice reform; and

 

WHEREAS, Rodriguez has been recognized nationally for her work; and

 

WHEREAS, She has led TASC’s Center for Health and Justice in offering consulting services nationally and internationally in research, policy, and clinical services; and

 

WHEREAS, She has co-authored several journal articles on health care, criminal justice, and juvenile justice; and

 

WHEREAS, She served on state and national boards and commissions including Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, Redeploy Illinois, Illinois Risk, Assets and Needs Assessment (RANA) Task Force, and Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission; and

 

WHEREAS, Ms. Rodriguez has been honored with many awards for her excellent work including by the White House Office of Drug Control Policy for her leadership in advancing system-wide justice interventions for people with substance use disorders; and

 

WHEREAS, Cook County and the Cook County Board of Commissioners have had the honor of seeing her great work first hand through TASC’s various partnerships with Cook County; and

 

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Cook County Board of Commissioners do hereby honor Pamela Rodriguez for her lifetime of service to people of Cook County; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that suitable copies of this resolution are presented to Pamela Rodriguez.
