Summary: The Cook County Sheriff’s Office requests that the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer enter into and execute a contract with Motorola Solutions, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois for radio equipment maintenance and repairs services. This contract will allow the Sheriff’s Office to service and maintain all portable and mobile radios, and ancillary equipment used in the Interoperable Radio System, including dispatch consoles, mobile data terminals, fixed equipment and trunked ratio infrastructure which includes highly proprietary technology. This affords uninterrupted service within this critical Countywide communication system.
This contract was awarded through a publicly advertised competitive bidding process in accordance with the Cook County Procurement Code. Motorola Solutions, Inc. is the lowest, and only responsive, and responsible bidder.
