HELEN WILLIAMS FOR HER DEDICATION AND SERVICE TO THE ENGLEWOOD COMMUNITY AND THE GREATER CHICAGOLAND AREA WHEREAS, Ms. Helen Williams was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, and has resided in the Englewood Community for 40 plus years; and WHEREAS,Ms. Helen Williams is a proud single mother of two adult children, Meciala Williams and Ben Harrison III, she has nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and WHEREAS,Ms. Helen Williams is the founder and CEO of DeLovely Hearts, a non-profit organization that she started to honor her late mother Reverend DeLovely Williams; and WHEREAS,Ms. Helen Williams organization connects hearts to help others. It is her way to give back to the community. HONORING MS. HELEN WILLIAMS FOR HER DEDICATION AND SERVICE TO THE ENGLEWOOD COMMUNITY AND THE GREATER CHICAGOLAND AREA

WHEREAS, Ms. Helen Williams was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, and has resided in the Englewood Community for 40 plus years; and

WHEREAS,Ms. Helen Williams is a proud single mother of two adult children, Meciala Williams and Ben Harrison III, she has nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and

WHEREAS,Ms. Helen Williams is the founder and CEO of DeLovely Hearts, a non-profit organization that she started to honor her late mother Reverend DeLovely Williams; and

WHEREAS,Ms. Helen Williams organization connects hearts to help others. It is her way to give back to the community. It provides services to the youth, seniors, homeless and serves domestic violence shelters in the Englewood and the Greater Chicagoland area; and

WHEREAS,Ms. Helen William believes we are to help eliminate hunger, homelessness, and help provide for the essential needs for all people, by providing food, warm clothes, personal care items and to do whatever it takes to enhance the quality of life for individuals in underserved communities across the Chicagoland area; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Helen Williams has an unwavering commitment to serve those who are in need and a passion to address homelessness and domestic violence in the Chicagoland area.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, I, Dennis Deer, Cook County Commissioner 2nd District on behalf of President Toni Preckwinkle, the Cook County Board of Commissioners and on behalf of the over five million residents of Cook County, on this date September 23, 2021 do hereby recognized for her Dedication and Service in the Englewood Community and the Greater Chicagoland area, and so wish Ms. Helen Williams every continued success in her future endeavors; and
