Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION REMEMBERING AND HONORING THE LIFE OF DEACON WILLIAM "BILL" HARRIS WHEREAS, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom called from our midst Deacon William "Bill" Harris on Wednesday, September 25, 2021 at the age of 85; and WHEREAS, Bill Harris was the second child born to the union of Mack and Ella Mae Harris on June 18, 1936 in Lowndes County Alabama, and his family later relocated to Lynch, Kentucky; and WHEREAS, Bill graduated from Dunbar Vocational Career Academy where he acquired training, which prepared him for his lifelong career at the Dial Corporation; and WHEREAS, Bill and Michelle Harris were married on March 14, 1987. Bill was baptized at the Cosmopolitan Church of Prayer where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board under Pastor Charles G. REMEMBERING AND HONORING THE LIFE OF DEACON WILLIAM "BILL" HARRIS

WHEREAS, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom called from our midst Deacon William "Bill" Harris on Wednesday, September 25, 2021 at the age of 85; and

WHEREAS, Bill Harris was the second child born to the union of Mack and Ella Mae Harris on June 18, 1936 in Lowndes County Alabama, and his family later relocated to Lynch, Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, Bill graduated from Dunbar Vocational Career Academy where he acquired training, which prepared him for his lifelong career at the Dial Corporation; and

WHEREAS, Bill and Michelle Harris were married on March 14, 1987. Bill was baptized at the Cosmopolitan Church of Prayer where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board under Pastor Charles G. Hayes; and

WHEREAS, Bill continued to serve under the leadership of Pastor Derail Smith until he was no longer able to physically participate; and

WHEREAS Bill prided himself on family and adored his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and he maintained an open-door policy to family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Bill was always willing to listen and provide quiet wisdom, all done with his infectious smile; and

WHEREAS, Bill was loving, genuine, straightforward, and took a no-nonsense approach, all done with a twinkle in his eyes; but you KNEW he meant business; and

WHEREAS, Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and was also preceded in death by his brother Squire Lee; and
