PROPOSED RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION HONORING VILLAGE OF HOFFMAN ESTATES TRUSTEE KAREN MILLS’ 30 YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Village of Hoffman Estates Trustee Karen Mills has served on the Village Board for 30 years; and
WHEREAS, Trustee Mills was first elected to the Village of Hoffman Estates Board of Trustees in 1992; and
WHEREAS, Trustee Mills has worked as a licensed community property manager; and
WHEREAS, Trustee Mills has served on many committees in her Trustee capacity and other leadership positions including Deputy Mayor from 2001-2007; and
WHEREAS, Trustee Mills leadership extended beyond the village as a Trustee of the Northwest Mosquito Abatement District, member of the Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce, former chair of the Hoffman Estates Plan Commissioner, member of St. Hubert’s Church, and many other civic leadership positions; and
WHEREAS, Cook County and the Cook County Board of Commissioners have had the honor of working with Trustee Mills and the Village of Hoffman Estates and she has proved to be a wonderful partner; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Cook County Board of Commissioners do hereby honor Village of Hoffman Estates Trustee Karen Mills for her commitment to public service; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that suitable copies of this resolution are presented to Trustee Mills.
