HONORING FELICIA SLANTON-YOUNG FOR TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN COOK COUNTY

 

WHEREAS, Felicia Slaton-Young is the founder and owner of Belle Lucre, LLC, a financial advisory firm based in Chicago, Illinois; and

 

WHEREAS, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and a MBA degree from Webster University; and

 

WHEREAS, she has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and more than 15 years as a financial advisor; and

 

WHEREAS, Felicia Slaton-Young is a founding member and Executive Director of the Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce and Greater Englewood Chamber Foundation, two organizations with a mission to transform Greater Englewood into a popular commercial and retail destination by advising, developing, and showcasing its established businesses and acting as a comprehensive economic development partner; and

 

WHEREAS, Felicia is currently a board member of St. Bernard Hospital and Health Care Centers’ mission calls us to care for the sick and promote the health of the residents in the community while witnessing the Christian values of respect, dignity, caring and compassion for all persons; and

 

WHEREAS, Felicia believes building and developing strong relationships have allowed her to grow and sustain her business and build lasting relationships between businesses and community; and 

 

WHEREAS, Cook County Government hereby congratulates Felicia Slanton-Young for transforming lives in Englewood through community engagement.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that, I Cook County Commissioner Dennis Deer 2nd District, along with  President Toni Preckwinkle, the Cook County Board of Commissioners and on behalf of the 5.2 million residents of Cook County takes great pleasure in honoring and celebrating Felicia Slanton-Young for transforming lives through community engagement in the Englewood Community.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this Resolution is shared upon the official proceedings of this honorable body and that an official copy of the same is tendered to Felicia Slanton-Young  in honor of this auspicious occasion.
