Title: PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT ADDRESSING COLLECTION OF PHARMACEUTICAL DISPOSAL PROGRAM DATA BE IT ORDAINED, by the Cook County Board of Commissioners, that Chapter 46 - LAW ENFORCEMENT, ARTICLE II. - SHEERIFF, DIVISION 4 - PHARMACEUTICAL DISPOSAL PROGRAM, SECTION NUMBER 46-103 of the Cook County Code is hereby amended as Follows: Sec. 46-103. Implementation of this Division. (a) The Director shall: (1) Develop a Collection Plan that is in compliance with this Division, including determining whether a Drug is a Covered Drug as established in accordance with Section 46-102; and (2) Determine the method of collection of Unwanted Covered Drugs as specified under this Division and the method for receipt of collection data, including the weight of collected Unwanted Covered Drugs, from Collectors, on a periodic basis, to be not less than monthly. and (3) Determine the total cost of the collection of Unwanted Covered Drugs as specified under this Division. ADDRESSING COLLECTION OF PHARMACEUTICAL DISPOSAL PROGRAM DATA

 

BE IT ORDAINED, by the Cook County Board of Commissioners, that Chapter 46 - LAW ENFORCEMENT, ARTICLE II. - SHEERIFF, DIVISION 4 - PHARMACEUTICAL DISPOSAL PROGRAM, SECTION NUMBER 46-103 of the Cook County Code is hereby amended as Follows:

 

Sec. 46-103. Implementation of this Division.

 

                     (a)                     The Director shall:

 

                     (1)                     Develop a Collection Plan that is in compliance with this Division, including determining whether a Drug is a Covered Drug as established in accordance with Section 46-102; and

 

                     (2)                     Determine the method of collection of Unwanted Covered Drugs as specified under this Division and the method for receipt of collection data, including the weight of collected Unwanted Covered Drugs, from Collectors, on a periodic basis, to be not less than monthly. and

 

                     (3)                     Determine the total cost of the collection of Unwanted Covered Drugs as specified under this Division.

 

                     (b)                     Producers shall:

 

                     (1)                     Within 90 days of the passage of this Division register with the Director, in a form mandated by the Director; and

 

                     (2)                     Pay all registration fees mandated by Section 32-1 of the Cook County Code.

 

Effective date:  This ordinance shall be in effect immediately upon adoption
