Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING IAN LEVY ON HIS RETIREMENT WHEREAS, Ian Levy retired from the Winnetka Police Department on October 7th, 2022 after 23 years as a law enforcement officer; and WHEREAS, Ian Levy began his career as a law enforcement officer with the Winnetka Police Department on September 1st, 1999; and WHEREAS Ian Levy was appointed to the position of School Resource Officer for New Trier High School on May 5th, 2003; and WHEREAS, Ian Levy was appointed to the position of Detective on December 26th, 2016; and WHEREAS, during his career, Ian Levy served in the capacity of a Field Training Officer, an Evidence Technician, a Juvenile Officer, a Bicycle Team Officer, a Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy Tactical Driving Instructor, a certified Fraud Examiner, a member of the North Regional Burglary Task Force and was recognized by his superiors and the citizens he served, receiving numerous Honorable Mentions and letters of appreciation from citi...

PROPOSED RESOLUTION

 

CONGRATULATING IAN LEVY ON HIS RETIREMENT

 

WHEREAS, Ian Levy retired from the Winnetka Police Department on October 7th, 2022 after 23 years as a law enforcement officer; and

 

WHEREAS, Ian Levy began his career as a law enforcement officer with the Winnetka Police Department on September 1st, 1999; and

 

WHEREAS Ian Levy was appointed to the position of School Resource Officer for New Trier High School on May 5th, 2003; and

 

WHEREAS, Ian Levy was appointed to the position of Detective on December 26th, 2016; and

 

WHEREAS, during his career, Ian Levy served in the capacity of a Field Training Officer, an Evidence Technician, a Juvenile Officer, a Bicycle Team Officer, a Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy Tactical Driving Instructor, a certified Fraud Examiner, a member of the North Regional Burglary Task Force and was recognized by his superiors and the citizens he served, receiving numerous Honorable Mentions and letters of appreciation from citizens; and

 

WHEREAS, Ian Levy served his department and community with distinction, and the people of Cook County owe him a debt of gratitude for his service.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of Cook County, on behalf of the 5.2 million residents of Cook County, congratulates Ian Levy on the occasion of his retirement, thanks him for his years of public service as a law enforcement officer, and expresses its sincere gratitude for the invaluable contributions he has made to the Citizens of Cook County, Illinois; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this Resolution be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body and that an official copy of same be tendered Ian Levy.
