PROPOSED RESOLUTION
COMMEMORATING the 35TH ANNIVERSARY of BONGI CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, Bongi Construction was founded in 1987 by brothers Gregory and Philip Bongiovanni and remains a family-owned business to this day; and
WHEREAS, the Bongiovanni brothers initially gained their knowledge and experience by working for their father’s company, Bongi Cartage, a major contractor of roads, bridges, subways, excavation and sewers; and
WHEREAS, in 1987, Gregory and Philip decided to form a smaller and more focused business operation, which became Bongi Construction; and
WHEREAS, Bongi Construction has thrived due to quality work, an outstanding reputation and fair and affordable prices. The company is well known and well respected for its projects for municipalities, agencies and townships throughout Cook and the collar counties in Illinois; and
WHEREAS, in addition to its work with various government entities, Bongi Construction is known for its expertise in directional drilling and has worked with cable companies, sewer and water contractors and electrical contractors; and
WHEREAS, many of the Bongi Construction clients today were clients at the inception of the company 35 years ago. This loyalty is evidence of the quality of work, professionalism and integrity that Gregory and Philip Bongiovanni have provided for decades.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County President and Board of Commissioners do hereby congratulate Gregory and Phillip Bongiovanni and all Bongi Construction employees on 35 prolific and successful years in business and wish them continued success; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a ceremonial copy of this resolution be tendered to Gregory and Philip Bongiovanni as a token of our appreciation for their company’s accomplishments.
