RESOLUTION HONORING MRS. DEBORAH L. LOVE ON HER RETIREMENT FROM HINES V.A. HOSPITAL HINES, IL

 

WHEREAS, Deborah L. Love, began her career in Louisville, Kentucky at Louisville General Hospital at the age of 19; and 

 

WHEREAS, Deborah L. Love, found joy in nursing as a student volunteer while in high school at DuPont Manuel. Providing nursing care with responsibility, kindness, attention and concern, respect and understanding of her patients as a human beings; and

 

WHEREAS, it became quite evident that Deborah’s positive “can do” attitude and strong work ethic demonstrated, would serve her well and she began building a career in nursing while attending Murray State University as an undergraduate student; and

 

WHEREAS, Deborah L. Love, thrust herself into nursing eager to follow in her mother’s foot-steps and make her own waves, she held various assignments in Louisville before leaving for Chicago to start her family; and

 

WHEREAS, Deborah L. Love, settled in Bellwood, IL with her husband and baby boy. She was still determined to become a nurse; and

 

WHEREAS, Deborah L. Love, with full support of her husband and family, and now a mom of three, she returned to nursing school at Triton College; and

 

WHEREAS, Deborah L. Love, graduated with honors from Triton College, School of Nursing, she was proud to sport her white hat and began her career in mental health at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital and joined the Hines V.A Hospital family; and

 

WHEREAS, Deborah L. Love, has proudly served as a Licensed Practical Nurse in psychiatry at Hines since 1993, working alongside some of the most compassionate and brilliant nurses, doctors, techs, housekeepers and other staff; Deborah has been a mentor and friend to countless co-workers over the years; and

 

WHEREAS, Deborah L. Love, has been valuable, hardworking, pillar to the culture and moral of the Hines family. Her seniority is a beacon determination, perseverance, and good will; and

 

WHEREAS, Deborah L. Love, affectionately “Loves” her job, she will now get to enjoy her retirement, nestled on the couch with a view of the neighborhood and Channel 7; and

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the President Madame Preckwinkle and Cook County Board of Commissioners that we celebrate the remarkable achievements of Mrs. Deborah L. Love and commend the nearly 50 years of service, in healthcare as a proud SEIU Local 73 member. A loving wife to Mr. Terry L. Love Sr., mother to Terry Jr., Ashlee, Amber, and a nana to a host of grandchildren. On behalf of President Madame Preckwinkle and the Cook County Board of Commissioners, we thank you for your service to our veterans, their families, the legacy you have built and commitment to your community.
