PROPOSED RESOLUTION
HONORING THE BEVERLY AREA PLANNING ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS in 1947, the Beverly Area Planning Association was formed in response to the need for a community-based organization in the Beverly Hills/Morgan Park neighborhood during post-war building and population expansion, and
WHEREAS the Beverly Area Planning Association is known for its services, events and programs focusing on community issues regarding safety, schools, business services, outreach, communication, and
WHEREAS the Beverly Area Planning Association promotes local shopping, networking between businesses, hosts workshops for small businesses and offers opportunities for partnership with special events in the community, and
WHEREAS the Beverly Area Planning Association is recognized as a thriving, vibrant organization with a welcoming environment, widely respected as a community asset, and
WHEREAS the Beverly Area Planning Association’s events help to foster pride in the community it represents as displayed in their motto “Love where you live”, and
WHEREAS, for 75 years, the Beverly Area Planning Association has successfully carried out its mission to help sustain, enhance, and promote the Beverly Hills/Morgan Park neighborhood and businesses as being culturally diverse, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Cook County, that the Board does hereby extend its congratulations to all the members, past and present, of the Beverly Area Planning Association for 75 years of outstanding service to the community, and offers its best wishes for continued success, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and a ceremonial copy of same be presented to the Beverly Area Planning Association as a token of appreciation from a grateful community.
