PROPOSED RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING CHARLES WILLIAM EIDSON ON ATTAINING THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT
WHEREAS, Charles William Eidson has been an active Scout in Boy Scout Troop 401, Buffalo Grove, Northeast Council, Potawatomi District; and
WHEREAS, Charles William Eidson has demonstrated his commitment to scouting as well as to his community as a youth representative on the Parish Pastoral Council at St. Edna Catholic Church in Arlington Heights, while advancing through the ranks of the Boy Scouts of America, earning the title of Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, Charles William Eidson is active in school activities as a percussionist in the Buffalo Grove High School bands and orchestra, and is a member of the varsity football and lacrosse teams; and
WHEREAS, Charles William Eidson's Eagle Scout service project was a restoration project at Cook County Deer Grove Forest Preserve in Palatine involving ecological and cultural restoration, including removal of invasive buckthorn trees and other vegetation that was damaging a stone wall built in the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps, working with a site steward of the Forest Preserves; and
WHEREAS, Charles William Eidson earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting, on August 30, 2022. He has been appropriately recognized for his accomplishment at a Court of Honor Ceremony on April 23, 2023 at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, Charles William Eidson is interested in pursuing a career in government and the law with intentions of serving as an elected official for his community or the State of Illinois; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of Cook County does hereby congratulate and commend Eagle Scout Charles William Eidson for this outstanding achievement, and his dedication to the betterment of his community; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this Resolution be tendered to Eagle Scout Charles...
