PROPOSED RESOLUTION
CELEBRATING DANITA ELISE PATTERSON’S 55TH BIRTHDAY
WHEREAS, Danita Elise Patterson interest to pursue ongoing excellence in helping her fellow mankind lead her to establish Destiny Outreach, Inc. a recognizable 501c (3) non-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, the mission of Destiny Outreach, Inc is to make learning fun and promoting self-education, vision clarification, destiny development, and career/job readiness are a testament to Danita’s commitment to youth and community development; and
WHEREAS, Danita Elise Patterson is a gifted speaker who inspires and motivate individuals of all ages to pursue their dreams by advocating for children and families by way of the arts and entertainment media, and social entrepreneurship; and
WHEREAS, Danita Elise Patterson, also known as Danita Destiny, is known for her exceptional contributions to the entertainment industry as an entrepreneur, creative visionary, filmmaker, and TV producer; and
WHEREAS, Danita Elise Patterson is being commended for her outstanding work as CEO and principal content developer of Destiny Unlimited, Inc., for creating, developing, and producing innovative film, TV, and new media content; and
WHEREAS, Danita Elise Patterson’s extensive production credits and development work, spanning over 26 years, are a testament to her dedication, creativity, and passion for the entertainment industry; and
WHEREAS, Danita Elise Patterson exceptional talent and expertise in grassroots marketing contributed to the success of the faith-based film, "Heaven Is for Real," currently standing as the 2nd highest-grossing film of its kind; and
WHEREAS, Danita Elise Patterson is to be acknowledged for her contribution to the success of numerous other TV shows and films, including Six Degrees of Separation, Bad Boys, NBC's Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and her upcoming feature film, “Healing Circle”; and
WHEREAS, Danita Elise Patterson academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northwestern University in Radio, TV, and Film and post-graduate work at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management/Executive Education, University of Southern California, and Chicago State University; and
WHEREAS, we commend her for her service on The Voices of Illinois Children's Thought Leader's Advisory Board and Northwestern University's Council of 100 Women; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of Cook County, on behalf of the 5.2 million residents of Cook County, does hereby honor and celebrate Danita Elise Patterson’s 55th Birthday for her many accomplishments and contributions bettering the lives of all residents in Cook County, Illinois; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body and that an official copy of the same be tendered to Danita Elise Patterson.
