Summary: The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully requests approval of the proposed completion of construction resolution for the Cal-Sag Steel Truss Strengthening at various locations. The Cal-Sag Steel Truss Strengthening improvements include the design engineering for steel truss member strengthening design, construction repairs to steel members and other necessary work, and restoration.
The amended awarded contract amount of this project was $6,536,165.90 and the final construction cost of the contract is $6,536,165.90. This contract provided the strengthening repairs to address the steel section loss in the main load carrying members. This resolution is required as part of the documentation and certification of the completion of construction activities by the Department to the funding Agency, IDOT.
