Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION HAROLD WASHINGTON CULTURAL CENTER 20TH ANNIVERSARY WHEREAS, it is with great pleasure and deep gratitude that the Cook County Board do hereby proclaim the celebration of a significant milestone - 20 years of unwavering dedication to children, community, and culture at the Harold Washington Cultural Center; and WHEREAS, the Harold Washington Cultural Center has stood as a beacon of hope and opportunity, illuminating the paths of over 25,000 young individuals annually through its Media and performing arts initiatives; and WHEREAS, the Broadway and Bronzeville program has played a pivotal role in fostering the talents and creativity of our youth, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills and aspirations, thereby guiding them from the streets onto the stage; and WHEREAS, in addition to the invaluable youth programs, the Harold Washington Cultural Center has forged partnerships with diverse arts organizations, championing STEAM education, dance, theat...

HAROLD WASHINGTON CULTURAL CENTER 20TH ANNIVERSARY

 

WHEREAS, it is with great pleasure and deep gratitude that the Cook County Board do hereby proclaim the celebration of a significant milestone - 20 years of unwavering dedication to children, community, and culture at the Harold Washington Cultural Center; and

 

WHEREAS, the Harold Washington Cultural Center has stood as a beacon of hope and opportunity, illuminating the paths of over 25,000 young individuals annually through its Media and performing arts initiatives; and

 

WHEREAS, the Broadway and Bronzeville program has played a pivotal role in fostering the talents and creativity of our youth, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills and aspirations, thereby guiding them from the streets onto the stage; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby commend and celebrate the Harold Washington Cultural Center for its two decades of exemplary service to our children, our community, and our culture; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED Let us join in recognizing and honoring the remarkable achievements of the Harold Washington Cultural Center and reaffirm our commitment to supporting and uplifting our youth through the transformative power of the arts.
