(b) Compliance with the existing affidavit requirements of Sections 74-71(a)(2) and (a)(8), 74-71(b)(7), 74-71(c)(2), 74-72 and 74-74(b) and (d) shall be waived for the 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 and 2023 assessment years. Summary: Beginning in January 2022 Cook County’s Department of Public Health began to actively track and handle the novel corona virus (COVID-19) as it made its way into the Cook County population. On April 3, 2020, a vacancy occurred in the Chief Operating Officer position at the Cook County Department of Public Health. Drs Rachel Rubin and Kiran Joshi, Senior Medical Officers agreed to co-lead the Cook County Department of Public Health (Public Health Department) while the search for a permanent Chief Operating Officer was underway. Drs. Rachel Rubin and Kiran Joshi took on the leadership responsibilities necessary to run the Public Health Department and to continue providing quality public health services to the citizens of Cook County.
