Description: Illinois Tollway intends to improve the existing Elgin O’Hare Expressway, extend the expressway from its eastern terminus at Rohlwing Road (Illinois Route 53) to O’Hare International Airport to be known entirely as Illinois Route 390, and construct the Western Access connecting the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) with the Tri-State Tollway (I-294); referred to as the Elgin O’Hare Western Access (EOWA) and included in multiple Illinois Tollway Construction contracts. Illinois Tollway owns parcels at Roselle Road and Meacham Road which were necessary for construction of the project, but said parcels are not required for maintenance and operation of Illinois Route 390 Toll Highway.
