Summary: Amy Patton Campanelli is hereby appointed to serve as the Cook County Public Defender for a six year term beginning 4/1/2015 and ending 3/31/2021. Ms. Campanelli will assume the position of Public Defender upon approval by the Board of Commissioners and following the expiration of Mr. Abishi Carrando "A.C." Cunningham, Jr.’s appointed term. Mr. Cunningham’s appointment expires March 31, 2015 and all of Cook County thanks him for his service.
Ms. Campanelli brings 23 years of service in the Office of the Cook County Public Defender, and nearly 30 years of legal experience, to the position of Cook County Public Defender. She currently serves as the Deputy of Suburban Operations for the Office of the Cook County Public Defender.
